Welcome back... missed your blog and hope you are well. Thanks for posting.. very sweet. I have a checked fabric that my grandmother taught me to smock.. similar idea but this is lovely. Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words. I don't know what the future will bring and if I really have anything useful to offer. I'm in awe of the craft bloggers now. When I started in 2004 there wasn't much out there.
Meggiecat - I've been following you for a very long time. I continue to return to your archives for inspiration that I can't find elsewhere. For instance, your postings from patents are unique (and try as I might, I don't "discover" the jewels you do).
From following you, I'm guessing things changed, and the blog wasn't what you needed. It may be that you find that path again, and I think there will be many who will delight in rediscovering you, and many who will be thrilled to find you.
True that there is so much inspiration out there now. But, I think your concept is really unique. Like the paper chain post today. How on earth would I find something like that elsewhere? I drop in now and then for inspiration. And in my house (and even in my professional life) you will see quite a few things that originates from your blog. So at least thanks! And I hope you'll keep blogging ;-)
So happy to see you're back. While it's true there are many craft blogs what keeps me coming back to yours for ideas is that it's all encompassing. Some crafters focus on crochet or sewing or kid crafts but you cover it all and more.It makes it a great place to just fill your mind and delight your eyes even when I don't actually plan on doing anything at all but spend a fun hour.
I've always thought that I can make anything if I set my mind to it.
This blog is notes to myself and my arty friends of crafty links I like and find useful. I'll also offer printable projects that I make.
If you find something useful, all the better.
Please take the time to thank the creator before you download the wonderful thing these generous people are sharing with you.
