1920's & 30's Travel Ephemera

Shared by David Levine
This is a virtual online gallery I've created to display and share the best items in my collection of 1920s and 1930s travel-related ephemera. It is not my whole collection, just a portion.
Everything on this website is original. The material is not reproductions. Nothing on this website is for sale, it is purely an online gallery.

This wonderful resource had been taken off line but I found it again through my favorite Internet tool, Internet Archive Wayback Machine

Printer's Ornaments

Swedenborg's Ornaments from The Glencairn Museum.
Emanuel Swedenborg's theological first editions are rich with ornaments. Swedenborg sent his theological contribution into the world heavily and consistently adorned with graphic decorative touches. Yet few know of their existence.

The Fairy Coloring Book

Small selection of images to color. I like these two.
The coloring book seems to be gone but there are still fairy things to see.

How To Tell The Birds From The Flowers

A Manual of Flornithology for Beginners by Robert Williams Wood
From David Newman
This is a book which belonged to my great-grandmother that I have enjoyed since childhood. I noticed the copyright had expired in the US, so I scanned it in so everyone can read it. Feel free to download the gifs to your own computer should you so desire.

The images are not high resolution but I love the book for it's charm.
Update: A downloadable copy is available here at the Internet Archive .

Face Transformer

Upload your picture then change the race or age. There are also several artistic transformations; Botticelli, Modigliani, Mucha and others. Here is Megs as a Manga Cartoon. This is fun! I wasn't able to get the save function to work so I used the
ScreenHunter freeware capture tool.

It works better with a human face ;-)
