Slot Together Cardboard Dogs

A Daschund and a Scottie designed by Elmer Rebholz 1942
Want these in a dollhouse.

I Love these Christmas Trees

They could be made of any thing, large or small.  Beads, Chenille Stems, T-Shirt yarn, Paper or Rick Rack.  They can hang or stand.  The Cone Calculator would be useful here.

DIY Smooth Styrofoam Printing Plate

The Basics:  Transfer design to styrofoam plate, score the the design to make a little trough, paint  scored lines with solvent.  The solvent is acetone.  Water based inks and paints only.

I don't really care for using solvent for this type of line work. This article on Makezine is better.

T-Shirt Refashion Inspiration

Nearly all my knit shirts need an upgrade.  These collar shapes could be great appliquéd the Alabama Chanin way.
Here are the downloadable stencils they are generously sharing.

DIY Plant Pot #1

To share my plant starts with friends or for the Friends of the Library sale.   Plants really raise money here, especially tomatoes.  At our elevation in Oregon, Mother's Day is the start of outdoor planting.

Fabric Handbag Handle Detail

Don't care for the purse but like the detail.
I like to add detail without having to buy hardware.

Belt Purse

Not the most lovely but necessary when shopping flea markets and estate sales.
I would make a  matching fabric belt to tie.

Free Autotracer Online

You can use this Autotracer to convert raster images into vector graphics. This process is called tracing or vectorization.  Tracing can be done by hand or you can use a tool which does this cumbersome job automatically. But usually some post-processing is necessary.  Most auto-tracing tools cost a lot of money, if you do not need them regularly this tool is an option.

DIY Color Hair Tattoo or Embroidery Transfer

Coat parchment paper or the dull dull side of freezer paper with hair gel, let dry and add design with Crayola washable markers or paint.  Apply design to dry hair with a flatiron.  Set design with hairspray. The patent is about a flatiron fitted with shaped crimpers. Any flatiron would work.

substrate may be made from fabric, parchment paper, other heat-resistant paper, etc.
A transfer substrate was prepared from commercially available bakeware liners (TEFLON®). These substrate bakeware liners comprise a fiberglass substrate bonded to exterior layers of polytetrafluoroethylene. The TEFLON® substrate was cut into rectangular shapes which were 4.5"×2.0".

I Have not tried it as an embroidery transfer but think it has a high probability of working well.
