Meggiecat's Paper Purse

Note: Feb. 28, 2008
These patterns have been available for approx. 4 years and are downloaded approx. 20 times per day. Please notice the number of people who have bothered to comment or say thank you. I want you and anybody to download and have fun with these templates but I also think that it's polite to say something nice to someone who gives you her work for free.
meggiecat

Meggiecat met Louis Vuitton

I made this paper purse for a swap and want to share the templates with you.
The templates are at 150ppi resolution in case you want to paint in your paint program and print the purse.
Here is the purse template and here is the handle and tab template

This is the most adorable paper purse I have ever seen. I have recently gotten into cardmaking and various other paper crafts and I think this will be my new fave. My daughter is having a birthday in a few months and these would be perfect for party favors. Thank you so much for the lovely template and ideas. Sincerely,

Thanks Meggiecat! Haven't tried it yet...hope I can do it. Has anyone done it with fabric fused to the paper? Would that be possible? Thanks! Tina

This would be phenomenal to use as party favors (with goodies inside). Thank you. I like the fabric fused idea too.
Do you mind if I blog about these?

I went looking for a purse template today and discovered most of what I could find online used pre-packaged designs or chipboard, or left the sides open (seems kind of pointless!). This is *exactly* what I was looking for and oh, so cute! Thank you!

Carolyn said...

Thank you so much. I have only just come across this and it looks delightful. I know how it feels when people download lots of things that you share and never stop to say a thank you

Hi! My daughter-in-law loves purses and just for something different, I think I will make a few for her to switch off on. I will use way out buttons and papers and etc. and the only one who will know they are paper will be me, unless there is a crafter checking them out and then she will want the template too! Of course, I will have to make some for me too. You could even use this pattern and cover the back and front with dried flowers, dry sea grass, reeds, fall leaves and etc. Only the imagination can limit how many and how different the ways are. It is turning to fall here. Think my first one will be the beautiful maple leaves from our trees; oranges, reds, yellows and rust and all the in between colors too! Thanks loads.

I am so glad I found this pattern! Thank you so much! It made the perfect gift bag for a bow/headband combo I bought for my son's classmate birthday. Since the bow had some zebra stripes on it, I purchased some coordinating scrapbook papers. Also, the bow was so big that your original pattern was a bit small, so I freehanded it.

Check out how it turned out. The one on the right is your original pattern, I gave it to my daughter to play with. The one on the left is the freehanded and the bow barely fit! It was a big bow! :)
